October is world breast cancer prevention month and the city of Venice, to inaugurate the awareness raising activity, has decided to cross the Grand Canal by an entirely pink vaporetto owned by Alilaguna.
The pink vaporetto is not a simple means of transport: on board there are volunteers available to citizens for all kinds of information on cancer prevention. This is an initiative that started in 2018, the pink vaporetto, which this year is hybrid and with a low environmental impact, will be in operation sailing around the lagoon for the entire month of October.
In this month, so close to prevention and awareness, there will be other initiatives aimed at raising awareness among the population, including: the pink walk (October 16), aperitifs, fashion shows and writing workshops.
